The game, originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m. local time, was delayed due to thunderstorms, pushing the kickoff back nearly two hours. Alabama had just scored a touchdown on a 21-yard pass from Keelon Russell to Cedarian Morgan, capping a 12-play, 75-yard drive that took 7:06. The score came just before play was stopped.
