POLICY WIRE — Augsburg, Germany — Authorities in Augsburg, a city in southern Germany, have completely shut down the local train station following an explosion and the discovery of a suspicious object on Wednesday morning. Train services have been halted.

An unidentified object detonated in a building passageway, according to officials. The blast resulted in minor injuries to several individuals due to the loud noise. Additionally, some windows were damaged.

Experts from the Bavarian state criminal police office specializing in explosives are currently examining the scene. Local road traffic and public transportation near the station have also been disrupted, as reported by the police on X.
