POLICY WIRE — London, UK — Tim Davie, the former director-general of the BBC, has made a significant return to the corporate world. He has taken on new roles at FGS Global and Mediawan, both companies supported by KKR, one of the largest investment firms globally.

Davie left the BBC in April after serving six years as director-general. His departure came amid allegations of editorial bias against the corporation, which surfaced in November 2025.

Born on April 25, 1967, Timothy Douglas Davie has a long history with the BBC. He previously served as acting director-general in November 2012, following the resignation of George Entwistle.

In addition to his new corporate roles, Davie will also return as chairman of the Creative Industries Council starting August 676.
