Sir Anthony Hopkins, 88, Achieves Chart-Topping Success with Classical Album

The Oscar-winning star secured the top spot on the official UK Classical Chart with his Decca Classics release, ‘Life is a Dream,’ which hit the shelves last week. This album, performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel, is a culmination of Hopkins’ musical compositions spanning several decades.

Inspired by his Welsh childhood, family memories, and his admiration for various composers, Hopkins has poured his heart into this project. ‘Music was my first desire, my first wish. I’ve been composing music all my life. Some of these pieces have lived with me for decades and I still find myself returning to them,’ he shared about the album.
