Tom Hardy’s X-Rated Kathy Bates Verse Stuns Fans on New Rap Album

POLICY WIRE — City, Country — Tom Hardy, the Oscar-nominated actor, has unveiled a new rap album under his alias Frankie Pulitzer, titled Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer, in collaboration with the underground supergroup Czarface.

Czarface comprises the duo 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck. This release marks Hardy’s debut in the rap scene, surprising fans who were aware of his underground music endeavors since 2011.

The album is rich with references to films and comic books. Notably, on the track Raw Forever, Hardy mentions Martin Scorsese’s 1999 film Bringing Out the Dead and Willem Dafoe’s portrayal of the Green Goblin in 2002’s Spider-Man.

In Mad Technology, featuring Wu-Tang’s Method Man, Hardy makes an X-rated reference to Hollywood veteran Kathy Bates, known for her Oscar-winning role in the 1990 film Misery. He raps, “You s***-for-brain no-name lame, that bites like Cujo,” before dropping the NSFW Bates mention.

Other notable collaborations on the album include Run the Jewels’s LP on Dragon Cannon, Kendra Morris on Frankie, and Busta Rhymes on Raw Forever. Hardy showcases his voice-acting skills throughout, reminiscent of his roles in Marvel’s Venom franchise and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Despite his extensive music career, including a 1999 mixtape titled Falling On Your Arse, Hardy has remained tight-lipped about his work as Frankie Pulitzer. The fan response to Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer has been overwhelmingly positive, sparking speculation about a potential Grammy nomination.
