President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the probe, highlighting the possibility of official negligence. He emphasized existing regulations prohibiting the storage of ammunition near residential areas.

The attack also caused significant damage to at least 50 nearby residential buildings and ignited a large-scale fire that spread to homes and a restaurant. Among the deceased was Taras Didych, the head of the Dmytrivka community, who was actively involved in rescue efforts.

The prosecutor general’s office confirmed that a drone struck the grounds of an enterprise in Myla, leading to a fire and subsequent detonation. The investigation will scrutinize the legality of storing explosive materials on the site and whether the company held the required permits.
