POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — Jeanine Pirro, a former judge and current Fox News contributor, is contemplating whether to pursue charges against Olympian David Hearn following an incident at the Reflecting Pool. This comes after former President Donald Trump publicly criticized the potential case.
Hearn, an Olympic athlete, faces possible legal action for actions taken at the Reflecting Pool. Prosecutors have indicated that the case against Hearn could be “re-presented” to the court unless a judge agrees to his motion to dismiss the charges.
The incident has drawn significant attention, particularly after Trump’s remarks. Hearn’s legal team has filed a motion to have the case thrown out, arguing that the actions did not constitute vandalism as defined by law.
In a statement, a prosecutor said, “The case against David Hearn remains open and could be re-presented unless the judge rules in favor of the defendant’s motion to dismiss.”
Pirro, who initially sought charges against Hearn, is now evaluating her next steps in light of the public and legal developments.
