Resident Escapes Bungalow Fire with Pets in Tow

POLICY WIRE — City, Country — Paula Fenton escaped her burning bungalow in the early hours of the morning, fleeing in slippers while carrying her pet dog and budgie. The fire, which started in the living room, quickly spread through the residence.

Firefighters arrived on the scene within minutes of the emergency call. They worked to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
