The Iranian government had asserted that Qatar was detaining the pilots following the downing of their aircraft. However, Qatari officials have issued a firm rebuttal, insisting that no such individuals are in their custody.

“We reject these misleading statements and clarify that Qatar is not holding any Iranian pilots,” a Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
