Killer of Pop Smoke Receives Additional Sentence for Fentanyl Smuggling in Juvenile Hall

POLICY WIRE — City, USA — An individual convicted in the murder of rapper Pop Smoke has been sentenced to an additional four years in prison for smuggling fentanyl into a juvenile detention facility.

The convicted individual, whose name has not been disclosed to protect the identity of the juvenile facility, was found guilty of attempting to smuggle fentanyl-laced pills into the detention center. The pills were concealed within latex balls.

Authorities reported that the convicted individual’s mother has also been charged with the same offenses after allegedly attempting to deliver the contraband during a jail visit.
