“Karoline Leavitt has done an outstanding job as our press secretary. We wish her the best as she moves on to spend more time with her family,” Trump said in a statement.
Leavitt’s departure comes amid a series of high-profile press briefings and communications efforts within the Trump administration. Her exit is expected to take effect in the coming weeks.
The White House has not yet announced a replacement for Leavitt.
