The pilot, who ejected before the crash, was transported to a local medical facility in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The US Marine Corps described the incident as a “Class A mishap.” The F-35B fighter jet, valued at approximately US$109 million, went down near the airbase. “The pilot ejected, was transported to a local medical facility in stable condition for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries,” the Marine Corps stated in an update.
