19% of British Adults Eye Non-EU Summer Vacations Amid Border Chaos

The survey, which polled a representative sample of UK adults, revealed that the new EU border system has led to severe bottlenecks at European checkpoints, significantly impacting travel behavior. Approximately 48% of respondents reported that these changes have affected their travel plans.

“The new border system has created unprecedented delays and complications, making travel to the EU less appealing,” said a travel industry analyst. “Many are now looking at non-EU destinations to avoid the hassle.”

The border issues stem from the post-Brexit changes, which have introduced more stringent checks and longer processing times for UK travelers entering the EU. This has resulted in long queues — and significant wait times at major border points.
